Mercedes-Benz Wheel Offset

The wheel offset on Mercedes-Benz vehicles is the distance from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting face of the wheel. It has a direct effect on the steering and handling characteristics of your car. A wheel with too much or too little offset will make your car feel "nervous" or "sluggish" and may cause issues in braking and steering.

Aside from Mercedes-Benz wheel offset, there is also the backspacing you must take into account. It is the distance from the mounting face of the wheel to the back edge of the wheel. Backspacing has a direct effect on wheel clearance and tire-to-fender fitment.

Hello it looks very interesting your description on the wheel offset and I like to ask you would I be able to install the 20 or 22 inches rims from a g63 on my 350 Glk since I found a new set of 22inch 5x120 Rims 5x130 g63 amg do you think it would be a normal feet or I would need to modify parts? thank you

Hello. Unfortunately, you cannot fit wheels from a Mercedes AMG G63 to your Mercedes 350 GLK. Many of the wheel parameters of these vehicles do not match. For example, the AMG G63 wheels have a 5x130 bolt pattern, while the GLK wheels have a 5x112 bolt pattern. You will need to install special wheel adapters. In addition, the center bore on G63 wheels is 81 mm, while on GLK - 66.58 mm - you need to use hub centric rings.
